Two Summer Events Bringing Jazz To Those At Home and Around The Globe

The Edmonton Jazz Festival Society (EJFS) board, staff and partners have been busy making plans to reconnect the two things they are most passionate about – music and our community. In addition to sharing special online presentations during the TD EDMONTON INTERNATIONAL JAZZ FESTIVAL, you will also be able to catch live, in-person performances by Edmonton-based artists at various locations across the city, through a new EJFS initiative called JAZZ AROUND TOWN.

Every event is FREE thanks to the continued support of arts funding agencies, partners and donors. Like so many other festivals, groups and business around town, we hope to see you soon.

TD Edmonton International Virtual Jazz Festival

This week would normally be the in-person TD Edmonton International Jazz Festival presented by Edmonton Jazz Festival Society (EJFS). While there is always a possibility the EJFS will present live, local, jazz musicians this summer, they are pleased to announce an exciting lineup of local, national, and international jazz musicians streaming online August 16-20 as part of this summer’s TD Edmonton International Virtual Jazz Festival.

“We have always been committed to presenting the very best in jazz music to Edmonton’s many music fans,” says Festival producer Kent Sangster. “While we aren’t able to bring musicians to our city, we continue to offer unique, engaging online concert streams of some of the planet’s hottest jazz artists while showcasing local jazz musicians online and possibly in person, AHS-permitted.”

Stay connected to Edmonton Jazz Festival Society’s social feeds and sign up for their e-news to learn more about this summer’s exciting lineup of jazz musicians.
