echoradia is the surreal combination of spinning wheel, weaving loom, electronics, and saxophones played by Kelly Ruth and Allison Balcetis. Performing together since 2019 and based in Treaty 6 Territory in Edmonton, theirs is a loosely structured, improvised practice. Working with older technologies (loom, saxophone) married to newer ones (synths, guitar pedals), they craft new sound worlds with a nod to musical tradition. echoradia is rooted in deep musical traditions of beautifully warm melodies from the depths of the baritone saxophone and thumping beats with textured grooves from the percussive loom.
