FESTIVAL JAM SESSION

The Festival Jam Sessions are a great place for everyone – festival musicians, local musicians, festival-goers, volunteers, general public – to end their day. Hosted by the evening’s Late Night Spotlight feature artists, local and visiting artists are invited to share the stage with each other. Many magical moments have take place at these session. ARETHA TILLOTSON TRIO

This show will feature some of Aretha’s most recent compositions, drawing on influences and experiences from her recent graduation from the Global Jazz Master’s program in Boston.

Aretha Tillotson is a Canadian upright and electric bassist and composer. She has performed as a side woman for Mike Murley, Jim Head, and Charlie Austin, Josh Rosen, and Allan Chase. Aretha has performed with her quartet across Canada and in the United States at a number of venues, including The Rex, The Yardbird Suite, The Jubilee Auditorium, and The Winspear Centre.
