FRIENDLY REMINDERS

  • Be prepared for the weather – bring bug spray, sunscreen, umbrellas, tarps in case the ground is damp & lots of water to stay hydrated!
  • All ages are welcome!
  • Bring your own seating – camping chairs of all kinds are permitted as long as they don’t interfere with the experience of other guests
  • Smoking/vaping is only permitted in the designated smoking area
  • Please leave the festival grounds the way you found them – remove tarps, chairs and any other items with you at the end of the day. Dispose of compostables, recycling and waste in the appropriate bins
  • This event will run rain or shine unless it is deemed unsafe for patrons, artists and staff. There are no refunds in the case of inclement weather

How do I buy tickets?

  • Purchase your tickets in advance online to avoid lineups and delays when you arrive. Tickets can also be purchased at the gate until 7:45pm the day of the event.
  • Your ticket will be validated at the admission gate by volunteers
  • Tickets can be presented printed or on a device
  • You’ll be given a wristband at the gate – wristbands must be worn at all times

What time do the gates open?

How do I get to the festival?

There is little to no parking available at Victoria Park aside from a limited number of accessible stalls for attendees with mobility issues.

Please use the following modes of transportation to get to the festival:

  • Shuttle Service Park and ride the complimentary shuttle from Ross Sheppard High School every 30 minutes beginning at 11:00am. Please note, the last shuttle will leave Victoria Park at 9:15pm. Click here to see the full schedule and maps
  • Edmonton Transit the closest LRT stop is Government Centre. The closest bus stops are 1827,1621, and 1567. They are a short 15-minute walk through the scenic River Valley to Victoria Park.  Please consult the ETS To Go App to plan your trip: https://www.edmonton.ca/programs_services/apps_mobile/app-ets-live-to-go
  • Bike – A complimentary & fenced bike storage area will be available at the event that volunteers will supervise at all times. Alternatively, several bike racks are located around the park if you wish to lock your bike to a rack.
  • Rideshare/Taxi – drop-off and pick-up is permitted in the Victoria Park parking lot at 12030 River Valley Road

Are there bike racks?

  • A complimentary fenced bike storage area will be available at the event that volunteers will supervise at all times. Alternatively, several bike racks are located around the park if you wish to lock your bike to a rack.

Can I bring my own food and beverages?

Yes, you are welcome to bring your own food and beverages within the following guidelines:

  • No outside alcohol is permitted on site
  • No glass bottles are permitted on site
  • Commercially sealed plastic bottles are welcome.
  • No knives, bbqs or grills are permitted on site (please prepare your food in advance)
  • Please note that all bags will be checked at the entrance gate by professional security

Can I use credit or debit to purchase food and merchandise?

  • This is dependent on the vendor, but most food and vendors prefer payment by card while some may only accept cash or EMT – please note there are no ATMs on site

  • Yes, If you’ve misplaced an item or if you’ve found something, please visit the tent at the main gate

What should I bring?

  • Camping chairs, lawn chairs, blankets & tarps
  • Rain slickers/coats & hats, and small umbrellas
  • Large umbrellas and pop-up shade tents can be used at the discretion of the festival and must be positioned to avoid interference with sight lines to the stage for other guests. Please ask a volunteer for direction before setting up a tent
  • Water & non-alcoholic beverages 
  • Sunscreen & Bug Spray

What should I leave at home?

Please note that security will be checking all bags & coolers upon entrance for the following prohibited items:

  • Glass bottles or containers other than baby food
  • Knives or weapons of any kind
  • Firearms, or any type of fireworks, explosives or ammunition
  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Portable BBQs or grills
  • Drones
  • Professional cameras, GoPros, selfie sticks or audio/video recording devices
  • Musical Instruments
  • Water Guns
  • Sports equipment

Are strollers and wagons permitted?

  • You’re welcome to bring your stroller or wagon

Can I leave throughout the day and come back?

  • In & out privileges are permitted, as long as you are still wearing your wristband, you are welcome to come and go

What if it rains?

  • Jazz in the Park will go ahead rain or shine unless it is deemed unsafe for artists and attendees. There are no refunds in the case of inclement weather

Can I apply to be a vendor or food truck?

  • A limited number of vendor spaces are available, submit your application here

Is the site wheelchair accessible?

  • Victoria Park is completely grass and/or gravel, there are no paved areas, a designated covered seating area will be provided for those with limited mobility and wheelchairs, and there will also be a designated accessibility volunteer to assist patrons if needed throughout the event
  • Tickets are buy one, get one free for anyone who requires support from an aide, family member or friend
  • There are four accessible parking stalls at Victoria Park, if these are full, please ask for assistance at the gate, and we will do our very best to accommodate
  • Accessible washrooms will be provided near the designated seating area

Are Pets Allowed?

  • With the exception of service animals or approved support animals for persons with disabilities, no pets are allowed
