BIOGRAPHY
Maceo is the golden thread connecting the history of Funk. He's played with each and every leader of funk, his start with James Brown; jumping aboard the Mothership with George Clinton; stretching out with Bootsy's Rubber Band.  For the past 16 years Maceo has been enjoying a blistering solo career and building a fresh, stylistically-diverse funk empire. He navigates deftly between James Brown's soul and George Clinton's freaky funk while exploring mellow jazz and hip-hop’s groove.  His performing and recording collaborations have included Ray Charles, Ani Difranco, James Taylor, De La Soul, Dave Matthews Band, Prince and the Red Hot Chilli Peppers.
