BIOGRAPHY
Doug Organ, Edmonton-based musician, producer and engineer, is a highly sought-after pianist and organist. He’s studied under Charlie Austin, Chris Andrew, and Fred Hersch, and gigged with Mike Rud, P.J. Perry, Rubim De Toledo, Hugh Fraser, and Jake Langley, among other great Canadian artists. The Doug Organ Quartet, featuring Doug on vibraphone and moog synthesizer, Dan Churchill on bass and Peter Belec on guitar, plays improvised music with muscle, inspired by post-rock ensembles like Tortoise.
